The VSP Trays are used in conjunction with a Skin Film, where the film follows the contours of the product by vacuuming to create a 3D presentation. A major advantage of this format over MAP is that it offers extended shelf life (especially red meat) over MAP. Vacuum Skin Packaging (VSP) is an excellent solution for extending the shelf life of perishable foods, including fresh and processed meat, poultry and seafood, ready-to-eat meals, produce and cheese.
