To confirm the accuracy of EDM, the positioning accuracy must be guaranteed first.  And the method in cent decided the accuracy of your position!  Direct use of electrode datum and workpiece datum contact for positioning, this is the most basic spark machine processing technology, simple operation.  However, we can find that if the accuracy of EDM is required to be very high, the positioning error requirement cannot be greater than 0.01mm, it is difficult to ensure the stable positioning accuracy, and parts are repeatedly repaired and scrapped due to the positioning error.  This kind of surface contact is easy to produce many errors, such as face to face contact inevitably exist fine things, electrode and workpiece flatness, verticality and other factors will affect the positioning accuracy.
