QuietLink II Weight Balance Chain

The PVC-coated Quietlink II chain acts as a counterweight to suspend the wire ropes when the car is running in the elevator shaft. It turns out that the Quietlink II chain as a weight compensation has the advantage of being quieter than a bare chain or chain with a counterweight cable, thanks to its larger, more even radii. Quietlink II chains minimize vibration issues and better balance the car.

Structure
Chain: Welded chain with low carbon content and stability
Coating: High-quality PvC adds the necessary mass and creates a circular cross-section.

Application
The circular filling die was developed for speeds up to 3.5 m/s.
Rail systems for high-speed applications
For elevators with speeds over 1.75 m/s, up to 3.50 m/s, a rail system with Quietlink II must be used to reduce chain vibration and prevent chain sway. These guides also help maintain the actual bend radius arc of the balance chain.

Purpose
The rail system maintains the chain bend radius and prevents the chain from swaying during elevator stops and start-ups. Polyurethane also helps reduce vibration caused by sudden stops and starts or wind in elevator shafts.
