The insert / iron rail shoulder is cast into a concrete sleeper to hold the elastic track clamp. Our iron shoulders are made of pearlitic malleable iron and spheroid graphite iron. There are two types of iron shoulders. Single stem iron rail shoulders are primarily used for prestressed concrete sleepers, and double stem iron shoulders are typically used for double or double block concrete sleepers.
