Ballscrews can reach an efficiency as high as 90% because of the rolling contact between the screw and the nut. 

Therefore, the torque requirement is approximately one third of that of conventional screws. lt can be seen from that the mechanical efficiency of ball screws are much higher than conventional lead screws.
