As an important Battery Electrolyte Additive, Lithium Bis(fluorosulfide)imide (LiFSI) is a new type of solute lithium salt with excellent properties, including high conductivity, high chemical stability, and high thermal stability. LiFSI is currently mainly used as a Battery  Additive and electrolyte alone, which is considered the most promising alternative to LiPF6.
 
LiFSI has high ion conductivity, providing faster ion transport speed, which can improve the charge-discharge performance and power density of the batteries. LiFSI is one of the Low Temperature Additives, which can improve the electrochemical reaction kinetics of lithium batteries and enhance power output at low temperatures. 
 
LiFSI has good solubility in common organic solvents and can be fully mixed with solvents and other components in the electrolyte, which can improve the uniformity and stability of the battery electrolyte.
 
In solid-state lithium-ion batteries, LiFSI can form solid electrolytes with materials such as polymers or ceramics, which has high safety and stability and prevent battery combustion and explosion.
