Product Introduction
As an Electrolyte Additive for lithium-ion batteries, succinonitrile(SN) can form a stable CEI film on the surface of the positive electrode, which can improve the stability of the positive electrode material during charge and discharge processes, and enhance the high-temperature and high-voltage performance of the batteries. Succinonitrile is a Film Forming Additive and its nitrile group has high pressure resistance and strong coordination ability, preventing degradation of positive electrode materials and decomposition of electrolytes. Succinonitrile can undergo complexation reaction with HF, which can inhibit the corrosion of aluminum current collectors and the dissolution of transition metals. In addition, succinonitrile has an over discharge protection effect on the negative electrode and can improve the cycle life of the batteries.
In lithium cobalt oxide batteries, succinonitrile can chelate with Co ions in the positive electrode material, which can improve the thermal stability of the batteries. The complexation of succinonitrile with Co ions can inhibit the leaching of transition metals, improve the oxidative stability and operating voltage window of the electrolyte.
In lithium titanate batteries, succinonitrile, as a Battery Electrolyte Additive, can form a stable Solid Electrolyte Interphase (SEI) on the negative electrode of the batteries, suppressing battery gas production and maintaining stable internal pressure of the batteries.
