I.Product Description
Reactive Polyurethane Glue type XCUR-M5002 is a one-component, moisture-curing reactive Polyurethane-Hot melt. It is characterized by low coating temperature and faster curing speed,Good adhesion to various substrates,including PTFE membranes. Due to its good wetting properties, it can be used in most water-repellent fabrics.
Working temperature: 70 – 90 °C
Colour : White crystalline upon delivery,Transparent, yellow when melted.
Laminate properties:
The completely cured and crosslinked adhesive film of XCUR-M5002 is age resistant and leads to a good bond strength, thermal and chemical resistance. The adhesive XCUR-M5002 contributes to a high durability of the laminates.
Laundry: According to the substrate and coating amount, it can be repeatedly washed between 30 °C - 60 °C.
II.Application Examples
Pu Glue For Textile XCUR-M5002 is particularly suitable for composite applications of breathable fabrics. For example, casual clothes and waterproof clothing.The adhesive can be compounded with a water-repellent fabric.
The following materials can be used for compounding:
-Breathable film
made of e.g. Polyurethane, polyester and polyamide, PTFE
-Film:
made of e.g. Polyester, pre-treated polyolefins
-Fabrics and nonwovens:
made of e.g. Polyester, polyamide, cotton, cellulose and polyolefins.Hydrophobic substances on the surface of the fabric can affect the adhesion strength. Specific testing is necessary in any case.
IIl. Waterproof Polyurethane Adhesive Instructions for Use
Coating: XCUR-5001 can be applied with standard application systems suitable for polyurethane adhesives, As standard working temperature we recommend temperatures between 80 – 100 °C. The premelting unit should be protected against humidity in order to avoid precuring of the adhesive.
Melt-Stability: Should avoid excessive temperatures during shutdown ( > 130 °C). The viscosity will increase for several hours at high temperatures. We recommend melting the adhesive only on an immediate, continuous start-up.
Curing: The curing time at 20 °C is 3 - 5 days at > 50% relative humidity depending on the water content of the substrates. Higher temperature will increase the curing speed.
Coating weight: The application weight ranges between 5-30 g/m² depending on the substrate and application.
Cleaning: Under suitable operating conditions, DMF, ethyl acetate, etc. can be used for cleaning.
