RSF VALVE's BS5153 Ductile Iron Metal Seat Swing Check Valve is one kind of Non Return Valve of Water Works Valves. It allows the fluid to flow only in the desired direction. The design of check valve is such that any flow or pressure in the opposite direction is mechanically restricted from occurring.

The BS5153 Ductile Iron Metal Seat Swing Check is used to prevent backflow of fluid, which could damage equipment or upset the process. The BS5153 gunmetal seat swing check valve is especially useful in protecting a pump in liquid applications or a compressor in gas applications from backflow when the pump or compressor is shut down. The nonreturn Swing check valve with lever and weight is also applied in process systems that have varying pressures, which must be kept separate.
