The main function of our Cast Steel Flange Ends Triple Offset Butterfly Valve is to control fluid flow rate in pipeline: turn gear box or other actuator, the disc will rotate; lock the disc at the specified angle by locking device; the fluid flow rate depends on the disc angle; when the disc is turned 90℃ to the valve bore center line, the pipeline is cut off.
The flange ends Cast Steel Triple Offset Butterfly Valve are differentiated from their on-off block cousins by the name high-performance butterfly valves. In simple terms, the high-performance butterfly control valve is a quarter-turn rotary-motion valve that uses a rotating round disk as a regulating element.
When fully open the cast steel triple offset butterfly valve, the disk actually extends into the pipe itself, which makes butterfly valves distinct from other valve designs. Butterfly valve bodies have very narrow face to face dimensions compared to other types of oil and gas industry valves, allowing the body to be installed between two pipe flanges without any special end connections. This type of arrangement is called a through bolt connection and is only permissible with certain bolt lengths.
The triple Eccentric butterfly valves are valves designed specifically for high-performance throttling services, using a disk that is offset from the center of the valve body.
For throttling services, the triple eccentric butterfly valves are designed with a disc that is offset from the center of the valve body. When butterfly valve is automated, triple eccentric lug butterfly valve is preferred since the disc does not make contacting with the seat until closing, which prevents premature wear of the seat with the continual positioning associated with automated throttling.
