One of the many unique features of the auger is that there are no moving parts inside the auger, no seals and no drive required to move the spiral. So from a sanitary point of view, this is the ultimate goal. No more expensive seals to worry about, no more expensive auger shafts to keep centered and running true. The drive system turning the outside casing can be positioned down low, easy to get at and maintain. It also means that the centre spiral can be easily removed with just a couple of clamps, leaving the drive system intact. Both the inlet and outlets of the casing can be removed with the use of a triclover clamp allowing every part of the spiral and casing to be cleaned and fully inspected eliminating the risk of cross contamination of Products and the build-up of bacteria within the equipment.
